Discovery Teacher
Wilson River School- Grades 9-12
2017/2018 School Year – 1.0 FTE
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Hold an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards & Practices Commission before Aug. 25, 2016
- Endorsements in Social Studies, Science, Language Arts and Special Education are desired but not a requirement
- Teachers that are Discovery trained or experience with the Discovery Model preferred, but not required discoveryprogram.net for more information
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Report to work August 25, 2017 (new staff orientation), Successful applicant must attend Discovery training prior to August 25, 2017.
- 0 FTE
- 2017/2018 salary is $35,019 – $52,969 depending on years of teaching experience and college credits
- Excellent fringe benefits
- District paid employee contribution to PERS (Public Employees Retirement System)

To apply go to www.tillamook.k12.or.us, and click on the “Job Openings” link located on the left. All applicants will have to create a user account. Follow the instructions below on how to apply. Applicants will be required to upload a letter of interest/cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation in addition to completing the employment application.
Instructions for non-school district employees: If you are a new user then click on the “Apply” tab for the job that you are interested in. You will be given three options: 1) I am a new applicant. You will then be instructed on how to create an account, 2) I already have a Recruit & Hire account with Tillamook, or 3) I want to transfer my account from another Recruit & Hire District or Ed Zapp. If you are not a new user, then log in at the top with your Username and Password or enter your login information within the 2nd option.
Instructions for school district employees (including substitutes): If you have not yet created an account with Tillamook Talent Ed Recruit and Hire you will want to click on the Internal link in the top right hand corner of the site before creating an account. On this page you will be prompted to confirm that you are an internal employee. Once you hit the “Yes I am an Employee” button you will be brought to a page to create your profile information. On this page you will create a username and password.
If you have already created an account with Tillamook Talent Ed Recruit and Hire you will want to log in with your username and password. Once you are logged in, click on the Internal link in the top right hand corner of the site. On this page you will be prompted to confirm that you are an internal employee.
