Oregon Youth Conservation Corps (OYCC) Summer Crew Leader
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a valid Type 20 Oregon Driver’s license and current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to lead/facilitate/supervise high school students in outdoor settings
- Ability to collaborate with community partners
- Physically able to work all day outdoors and hike long distances, often on uneven ground/steep terrain
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport students to worksites and work closely with them
- Oversee the quality of student work at the contracted work sites
- Communicate with students, work site representatives, and the project coordinator
- Facilitate groups of students in meeting instructional objectives
- Track daily attendance and submit reports of students’ progress
- Be aware of and adhere to safety practices
- Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed
- Provide clear expectations and consistent feedback to crew workers
- Communicate with OYCC program director regarding students’ job performance
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT $20-24/hour Depending on Experience (not to exceed 280 hours)
Starting -June 25, 2018 – August 3, 2018

To apply go to www.tillamook.k12.or.us, and click on the employment link located on the left. All applicants will have to create a user account. Follow the instruction below on how to apply.
Instructions for non-school district employees: If you are a new user then click on the “Apply” tab for the job that you are interested in. You will be given three options: 1) I am a new applicant. You will then be instructed on how to create an account, 2) I already have a Recruit & Hire account with Tillamook, or 3) I want to transfer my account from another Recruit & Hire District or Ed Zapp. If you are not a new user, then log in at the top with your Username and Password or enter your login information within the 2nd option.
Instructions for school district employees (including substitutes): If you have not yet created an account with Tillamook Talent Ed Recruit and Hire you will want to click on the Internal link in the top right hand corner of the site before creating an account. On this page you will be prompted to confirm that you are an internal employee. Once you hit the “Yes I am an Employee” button you will be brought to a page to create your profile information. On this page you will create a username and password. Once you hit the Save button you will have created your account and be directed to the list of internal job postings. . Your account will now be marked as internal and you will have access to these postings again the next time that you log in to your account.
If you have already created an account with Tillamook Talent Ed Recruit and Hire you will want to log in with your username and password. Once you are logged in, click on the Internal link in the top right hand corner of the site. On this page you will be prompted to confirm that you are an internal employee. Once you hit the “Yes I am an Employee” button you will be brought to the list of internal job postings. Your account will now be marked as internal and you will have access to these postings again the next time that you log in to your account.
